Materialise third-quarter revenue rises while profit falls on medical R&D spending
Materialise reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of €67.7 million, up 2.1 percent year on year, or 4.9 percent after excluding the divested RapidFit and Eyewear businesses. Net profit fell to €1.38 million from €1.85 million, and operating profit dropped to €1.34 million from €2.52 million as operating expenses rose 7.8 percent. Medical grew revenue by 9.7 percent to €36.5 million and now accounts for about 54 percent of group sales, but its profitability declined because of higher R&D spending. Manufacturing revenue, excluding divestitures, rose 1.5 percent, with series production up more than 30 percent on demand from aerospace, semiconductor and defense customers. Software revenue fell about 4.1 percent as customers moving to production use take longer to buy. Materialise kept its full-year guidance of €273 million to €283 million in revenue and €12 million to €14 million in adjusted EBIT, and ended September with €82.5 million in net cash.
